Eastend Economic Development Committee Launches Fundraising Campaign for New Digital X-Ray Equipment and Lab Services at Wolf Willow Health Centre
Eastend, Saskatchewan – June 10, 2026
The Eastend Economic Development Committee (EEDC) has launched a fundraising campaign to purchase a new digital X-ray system and upgrade laboratory services at the Wolf Willow Health Centre. The project has received approval from the Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions, Seniors and Rural and Remote Health and the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
The new digital X-ray system will provide several key benefits, including:
• Clearer, higher-quality images for more accurate diagnoses
• Faster access to results, leading to quicker treatment decisions
• Reduced patient travel and unnecessary patient transfers to larger centres. This will save time, resources, and significantly reduce the strain on our ambulance services.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $772,000.
To support the campaign, the EEDC will host a fundraising gala on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Eastend Memorial Hall.
Community members, businesses, and organizations are invited to support the initiative through donations or sponsorships. Donations will be securely held in trust by the Town of Eastend and are fully tax deductible
Current sponsors of this initiative include the Town of Eastend, RM of White Valley No. 49, RM of Arlington No. 79, RM of Reno No.51 and North American Helium.
