WHOA, what a great student turnout for WOO - Wheels Of Opportunity Class 3 License Lunch & Learn. Over 50 students attended an information session to give information who are interested in careers in transportation in our agriculture sector. Students were treated to a pizza lunch to hear all about Fully Funded Class 3 Driver Training at Safety Buzz Campus. Students were able to participate in Fall Protection and simulator demonstrations.

The Eagle Butte High School Bee Team made their first trip out to the hives today!

Students learned about proper beekeeping gear, hive safety, and how to work calmly and respectfully around the bees. Once they arrived, the buzzing was un-bee-lievable!

The team explored the important roles each bee, and every part of the hive, plays in helping the colony thrive. With guidance from our master beekeepers, Sheldon and Stella, students helped inspect the hives for health and function.

One of the highlights of the day was witnessing a bee being born right before their eyes, an unforgettable experience!

Our Biology 20 classes spent yesterday in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park exploring four different ecosystems and discovering how abiotic factors influence the biotic organisms within each environment.

From hands-on observations to meaningful discussions in the field, students gained a deeper understanding of how ecosystems function and interact. A major highlight of the trip was seeing the incredible number of pelicans gathered at Reesor Lake!
