Well, it’s been a little while, but things have been anything but quiet here in Dundas! We've had a jam-packed couple of months, and we’re excited to share a few highlights from our cadet adventures.
First up, we kicked off the year with our first weekend onboard because what better way to start the season than with some fresh sea legs and the unmistakable smell of navy socks?
We also held our Change of Command ceremony, where leadership changed hands smoother than a well-rehearsed salute. We’re confident our new CO will steer the ship with pride, purpose, and just the right amount of paperwork.
Next, we teamed up with our friends from 735 Air Cadets for a joint training night. It was a fantastic evening of collaboration, camaraderie, and trying to outshine each other in uniform inspections.
The unit also took a trip to McMaster University to explore the nuclear reactor (yes, a real one!) and the planetarium. Between splitting atoms and stargazing, it was the perfect mix of science, awe, and just a few questions about whether warp drive is on the syllabus.
Last but not least, we celebrated a round of well-earned promotions. A big “Bravo Zulu” to all our cadets leveling up—your hard work and dedication don’t go unnoticed (even if your boots sometimes do).
Be sure to keep an eye out for more updates and activities from the amazing cadets at RCSCC Dundas. We’ve got plenty more on the horizon—anchors aweigh!
