As the weather starts to cool down, a simple pair of warm socks can make a world of difference. 🧦 This September, we are incredibly grateful to partner with the Malahat Legion 134 for a community-wide Sock Drive in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association Cowichan Valley Branch!

From September 1st through the 30th, we are collecting donations of new or lightly used socks, alongside essential personal care items. Your contributions directly support individuals in our community who need it most.

2026 Isle of Van 9HR Endurance for Charity

On August 23rd, 2026 the 4th annual 9HR Motorcycle Endurance for Charity is happening!

The Isle of Van 9HR (re-branded from Higgy’s 9HR) is styled after the famous Japanese Suzuka 8 Hour Endurance race. The Isle of Van 9HR’s main focus is the fundraising for local charities; a way for our riding community to give back to those that need it. We support 3 different local charities.

17 teams with 1 motorbike & 3 riders going at race pace non-stop for 9 hours. There’s a 100% female team, current and ex-racers, track instructors and riding coaches, along with us track riding enthusiasts! Pretty much a full spectrum of different types of people and ages.

Over the first 3 years the event has raised over $190,000 for these life changing charities! Please consider helping out if you can.

Come on down on the day and shout and wave your support for your fave teams! We are all working and riding hard for this noble endeavour.

The charities are:

Canadian Mental Health Association - Cowichan Valley (emergency youth shelter)

The Cowichan Valley Therapeutic Riding Association

The Cowichan Valley Brain Injury Society

They are all simply life changing organizations.
