✨For the remainder of May and the month of June, the Drumheller Public Library proudly presents the brilliant photography of our own, Terri Barbour, with her series titled “Skies in Starland”. ✨
Terri is an amateur photographer and artist of different media, including cake decorating. She has lived in the Drumheller area for almost 14 years, has two children, a son-in-law and grandson. Terri enjoys her work at the library and in her spare time can be found spending time with her family, watching storms, taking photographs, doing some kind of art project and gaming with her family and friends. She is extremely excited to share her passion for photography and her love of the beautiful Starland County, Alberta skies! 📸
*** Please note that her photography is for sale and is selling fast, so come check this exhibit out before it is gone!!! ⚡️

Here at the library, we're all about butterflies! At Alphagators, we've been reading books about bugs and butterflies, and singing songs like 'Arabella Miller's Fuzzy Caterpillar'. Next week, we'll make magic sun bead bracelets that become colourful when exposed to the sun, much like a newly hatched butterfly's unfolding wings!

The last few weeks at Library Babies, we celebrated spring with spring songs and books. We added 'This is the Way the Farmer Rides', 'The Spring Wind Does Blow', 'Lightning Does the Dance' song, and 'Arabella Miller' to our list of songs.

Last week, we read 'Orange Pear Apple Bear' by Emily Gravette, and this week, we read 'Waddle' by Rufus Seder, which has pictures of animals that walk across the page as the book opens and closes. The babies are very attentive, love the books, and know the routine; then they pick a book for their parents to read to them. Each week, we do 'a question of the week' and end with the ever-popular 'Parachute Float'.

🌱🌱Did you know? Our seed library is open! Come on down to the library and borrow some seed packets. Plant and grow your crops, when you get seeds from your harvest, package them up and bring them into the library so we can stock our seed library with locally grown produce and flower seed.🌱🌱

📣📣We would like to give a huge shout out and thank you to Westview CO-OP Drumheller for their incredible donation of seeds for this year’s Seed Library.
