๐Ÿ’ง Watermain Maintenance in Princeton

A heads-up for Princeton residents: watermain swabbing will take place September 21 to 23, with periodic overnight water service interruptions between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Residents in the affected area are reminded not to use their water while swabbing is underway to avoid drawing discoloured water or material into their plumbing.

Please see the notice delivered to your home by Oxford County for full details.

Watermain maintenance (Swabbing) is taking place in Princeton beginning Monday, September 21 until Wednesday, September 23. Customers should expect water service to be off periodically overnight from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

It is important that residents in this area DO NOT turn on their water while this is taking place to avoid drawing discoloured water or material into the homeโ€™s internal plumbing. Please see the notice delivered to your home for more information or download a copy at www.oxfordcounty.ca/water-wastewater

When swabbing is complete and if you experience discoloured water, run cold water until the water runs clear. For anyone experiencing discoloured water two hours after swabbing has been completed, low water pressure, or no water at all, please contact Oxford County at 1-800-755-0394 ext. 3915 or [email protected].

Public Works crews continue cleanup efforts following last weekโ€™s severe storm.

All Township roads have been reopened since Sunday afternoon.

Tree and brush cleanup began Tuesday and is expected to continue for the next two to three weeks due to the significant number of trees affected.

We sincerely appreciate the patience, cooperation and community spirit shown by residents throughout the storm and cleanup. Thank you as well to the many residents and neighbours who stepped up to help one another.

The Townshipโ€™s Compost & Brush Depot on Township Road 8 is open 24/7 for brush and compostable yard waste. Please do not dispose of logs, building materials or other non-compostable materials at the depot.

If you have concerns about a tree along your property that may be within the Township road allowance, please contact the Township Office. Staff can arrange to have the tree assessed.

Thank you for your continued patience as cleanup work continues.
