The Township of Mapleton is seeking proposals from interested vendors, businesses, community groups, or individuals to operate the concession booths at the Moorefield and Drayton Ball Diamonds for the 2026 and 2027 summer sports seasons.

This is a great opportunity to connect with the community, support local sports, and operate a seasonal business in two busy recreational hubs.

A reminder that the Drayton Municipal Parking Lot is closed today for our community event. Barriers were installed in advance to support this closure; however, we have been made aware that some have been moved.

For the safety of event staff, vendors, and visitors, barriers are in place for a reason and must not be removed, relocated, or tampered with at any time.

We kindly ask that all vehicles be removed from the Municipal Parking Lot by 3:00 PM today (June 1, 2026) so we can proceed with a safe and successful community event.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation.

The Township of Mapleton is excited to launch the Drayton Worth the Detour Community Sticker Campaign running from June 1 – August 31!

As bridge construction impacts access to downtown Mapleton this summer, we're encouraging residents and visitors to continue shopping, dining, and supporting the amazing local businesses that make our community special.

🛍️ HOW IT WORKS:
⭐ Receive one sticker for every purchase or service at a participating business
⭐ Each participating business has its own unique sticker
⭐ Collect 6 different stickers on your ballot card
⭐ Submit your completed card for a chance to win one of several prizes
⭐ Prizes include monetary awards valued up to $500, redeemable as gift cards from participating local businesses
⭐ Complete multiple cards throughout the summer to increase your chances of winning and continue supporting local businesses

🚧 ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE 🚧

Please be advised that construction work will begin on Monday, June 1, 2026, starting at 6:30 a.m. in the following locations:

📍 Concession 3 — from County Road 10 to County Road 9
📍 Concession 4 — from County Road 9 to Side Road 6

🚗 Roads will remain OPEN, however motorists should be prepared for delays and slower traffic in these areas.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this important road work is completed. Please drive carefully and allow extra travel time if you are commuting through these areas.

Paige is returning for her 2nd year at Mapleton Summer Camp! Paige is most excited for our ⏳ Through the Decades week and can’t wait for all the fun, games, and throwback activities this summer has in store.

When she’s not at camp, you can find her weightlifting, hiking, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing with a good book 🏋️‍♀️🥾📚

Fun fact: Paige is an Olympic weightlifter 💪

We’re so excited to have Paige back for another amazing summer!
