Aurora Elementary School

Aurora Elementary School Aurora is a PreK-4 school of approximately 370 students.Our goal is providing a well rounded education within a safe and caring environment.

Aurora was built in 1992. We are located in Drayton Valley, Alberta, 100 km. southwest of Edmonton. Our school division is Wild Rose Public Schools, whose central office is located in Rocky Mountain House. Our special programs include: Hot lunch program,Aurora Watch, after school P.E.,archery, annual concerts, monthly assemblies, after school care, choirs, drum club, cultural performances, daily

P.E., running/walking club, road runners, archery and health champions, house leagues, gr. 5 outdoor education, D.A.R.E., enrichment, , reading expedition, Safe & Caring Schools, French program, after school science club & cooking club. DISCLAIMER:

SO much fun was had today at our Track and Field event! Pre-K to Grade 4 participated in all kinds of fun activities out in the sun ☀️ Thank you to Mr. Fedorus for all of the work in planning the activities and setting up, our parent volunteers for helping run the stations, and our school council for the freezies at the end of the day to cool off!

Grade 3s learned so much in their owl presentation today! They even got to dissect their own owl pellets to discover what they had eaten. Kathy from Eagle Point Blue Rapids knew so much about owls! The kids were vibrating and willing to go through recess to keep their investigations going!
