By now, we've all seen the news of the suspected battery fire at Robin Hood Bay.

Please remember to not place your used batteries in your clear and blue bags - including old cell phones with batteries. We accept batteries and electronics at our regional site in Norris Arm and at all seven transfer stations.

PUBLIC NOTICE – WATER SHUT OFF

Please be advised that the water will be shut off today Monday May 25th due to a main line water leak. We do not have an estimated shutoff time or a length of time that the repair will take.

Affected area:
All residents from Oram’s Funeral Home and down through the community.

Not affected:
Residents on the opposite side of the funeral home up to the intersection, including Cove Road, A. Frank Willis Drive and it will not affect William Mercer Academy

Thank you to the Grade 6 class from William Mercer Academy for visiting us with yesterday, it was so nice to have you all there in our chambers to take part in a mock council meeting and to have one of your students bring forward a presentation for us to take action on, making sure our youth have a voice is very important and we look forward to hearing from them about many issues that affect them.
