We’re proud to be serving Thames Centre!

Today is 🚒🚨🔥 and we want to take a moment to recognize the service of our volunteer firefighters at the Thames Centre Fire Department!

When disaster strikes at our homes or on our roads, we call on their bravery and hard work to help keep people safe, and through their tireless advocacy and education efforts, they help us prevent emergencies from arising at all.

Join them from 8 AM - Noon for a hearty breakfast and a chance for kids to tour the Dorchester Fire Station and the Inflatable Fire Safety House!

Last month, Thames Centre Fire Department officers attended an inspiring officer-development workshop with renown fire service leader, Mr. Rob Martin. TCFD officers were led through critical discussions on fire service specific cultural awareness through creative groupwork sessions, organically conceptualizing organizational Values, Vision, and Mission Statements.

Along with assisting us to identify our common goals, beliefs, and compassion for community service, Mr. Martin facilitated a welcoming environment for members to discuss TCFD’s strengths, challenges, and opportunities for internal growth and development. Participants were left feeling empowered and inspired by collaborating with each other to create a cultural path forward for our dedicated service.

TCFD would like to thank Mr. Martin for leading us through this integral workshop that will not soon be forgotten. As the department’s Officer Development Series continues, we look forward to hosting other fire service leaders from across the province into our stations to assist us with our leadership development, tactical command, and other fire operations acumen throughout the rest of 2026 and beyond.

The vast majority of calls were responding to vehicle collisions. This serves as an important reminder to drive carefully, especially when weather conditions are poor.
