Effective June 1st, SKRecycles will be managing the recycling program for our community. Please take note of the changes to items that can be recycled in the blue bins. If a moderate level of non-recyclables are put into the bins, there are potential costs and disruption to our recycling service.

A copy of this guide will be included with the May 2026 utility bill for each property owner. Please contact the office with any questions.

*Accepted items in the bins include paper, paper packaging and cardboard, plastic containers, cartons and paper cups, aluminum containers and steel containers. Glass bottles, flexible plastics and foam packaging must be recycled at a Sarcan Depot.

The Loraas guidelines for recycle bins that were previously in place, included much the same items. I have attached that guide for your comparison. SARCAN is now accepting more items and that is the major change. Those items should not have been going in your recycle carts before, and are not accepted now, except at SARCAN depots.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
