When one of our own asks for a favour, you make it happen.

Yesterday, Rescue 31 had a very special assignment. We were honoured to help deliver Johnny and his groomsmen to his wedding ceremony. With three of the groomsmen also being Digby Fire members, it was only fitting they arrived in style.
On behalf of everyone at Digby Fire, congratulations to Johnny and Kaitlin on your wedding day. Thank you for letting us be a small part of such a special occasion.
We wish you both a lifetime of happiness, love, and great memories together.

Our hearts are heavy tonight as we join the fire service across Nova Scotia in mourning the line of duty death of Firefighter Alexandru Uichita of the Bridgetown Volunteer Fire Department.

On behalf of all members of Digby Fire, we extend our deepest condolences to Alex’s wife, children, family, friends, and the entire Bridgetown fire family during this unimaginable time.

There are no words that can ease a loss like this. We stand with our brothers and sisters in Bridgetown and keep them in our thoughts as they navigate the difficult days ahead.

Rest easy Firefighter Uichita. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

The Digby Fire Department would like to send a huge thank you to Matthew Connell of Connells Septic Services for stepping up and making the generous donation that will completely cover the lobster purchase for our annual Chowder Supper.
