Programs are designed to be preventative to support individuals and families that may need guidance or help with some of the things life throws at them. Our focus is to continue

to help people find their path, and to support people to build on their strengths. Connected communities are stronger, healthier communities – social inclusion, isolation reduction and building resilience are key to that. By working in partnership with community groups and organizations, schools, and regional colleagues and agencies we are able to assist with a variety of needs. Please note, that these services are offered in confidence.

Devon youth ages 14-17: The 4×4 Program gives students the opportunity to explore real municipal workplaces through short, supervised placements in areas like recreation, communications, parks, planning, and public services. $200 honorarium for successful completion. All placements take place in July. Devon residents only / attending a Devon school.

Gain hands‑on workplace experience
Learn professional skills and expectations
Explore different career paths
Build confidence and communication skills

No prior work experience is required — just curiosity, effort, and a willingness to learn.

Community Conversation: Looking Ahead at Devon’s Public Library
In addition to the Community Survey, the Town of Devon is hosting a specific library engagement session. This facilitated session will provide residents with an opportunity to share input and learn more about future library location and expansion considerations. Registration is required and space is limited.

The Town of Devon is inviting residents 18 and over to participate in the survey about life in Devon — what’s working well, what could be improved, and what matters most to you.
