Did you know 47% of Canadians aged 45+ are grandparents? 👵👴

This Sunday is Grandparents Day! Grandparents play a huge role in our families and communities, whether it's sharing stories, offering support, or helping raise the next generation. According to Statistics Canada, nearly 1 in 10 children aged 0-14 live with at least one grandparent, and one in five caregivers say they help care for a grandchild each week.

Take a moment this Sunday to call, visit, or simply say thank you to the grandparents in your life. 💛

What a special evening! 💜
On September 2nd, we held a small 5 à 7 at the Activity Centre to properly honour the Board and Volunteers of Community Connections, since not everyone could receive their plaque at the AGM.

4Korners presented the group with a Leadership and Engagement Award, recognizing more than 25 years of outstanding service to the English-speaking communities of the Lower Laurentians. Entirely volunteer-driven, the Community Connections magazine has amplified local voices, celebrated community achievements, and strengthened ties across generations for residents from Kanehsatà:ke to Rosemère.

Throughout the evening, volunteers shared memories, stories, and anecdotes about how it all started, and the power that volunteering has to shape a community. A beautiful reminder of the lasting impact this dedicated team has had on the region.

Thank you to the entire Community Connections board and volunteers for 25+ years of remarkable service!

📍 Important update if you use health services in the Saint-Sauveur area!

Santé Québec Laurentides is moving its blood sample, vaccination, and screening services currently offered at the Saint-Sauveur local service point. We're sharing this so our English-speaking community doesn't miss the change.

🗓️ Starting September 22, 2026, these services will be offered at the new Pays-d'en-Haut local service point, located at the CLSC de Piedmont, 694 chemin Avila, Piedmont.

During the move, from September 18 to 21, samples can be dropped off at the local service points in Saint-Jérôme or Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.

Santé Québec Laurentides souhaite informer la population du déménagement des services de prélèvements, vaccination et dépistage actuellement offerts au point de service local de Saint-Sauveur au 170, chemin du Lac-Millette.

📌À compter du 22 septembre prochain, ces services seront offerts au nouveau point de service local des Pays-d’en-Haut, situé au CLSC de Piedmont, au 694, chemin Avila à Piedmont.
Pendant le déménagement, du 18 au 21 septembre, les échantillons de prélèvements pourront être rapportés aux points de service locaux de Saint-Jérôme et de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.
