Why We Fund-raise:
Fundraising is always a vital part of ensuring the cadets have the best year possible. The money raised is used to help cover our costs for programs like fam flying, field training exercises, equipment, resources, and more. Our goal is to ensure the cadet program is self-sustaining where there is no additional financial burden to the parents–allowing the cadets to participate in these activities.

Yesterday we took in a little sneak peak of the Boundary Bay Airshow and were treated to an impromptu mini show from the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, who will be showcasing the airshow tomorrow (July 19th, 2025). Come visit us at the BCPC Booth. We'll have the Air Cadet League of Canada Cessna and Glider on hand so you can get an up close and personal look. Hope to see you there. Boundary Bay Airshow

🇨🇦🎉 Canada Day at Diefenbaker Park! 🎉🇨🇦
The 828 Hurricane Air Cadets were proud to have volunteered and supported this year’s Canada Day celebrations at Diefenbaker Park, hosted by the Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club in partnership with the City of Delta.

Our cadets helped bring the community together through service and teamwork during a fun-filled morning that featured:

🎂 Official ceremonies & cake cutting
🌭 Free hot dogs and drinks
🎨 Face painting & balloon twisting
🎶 Live entertainment and more!

👏 A big thank you to all the 828 CADETS/OFFICERS, organizers, volunteers, and community members who made this celebration such a success.

Some of our cadets volunteered to help out at Diefenbaker Park for Canada Day. Thank you to the Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club for inviting us! We had the honour of meeting our new MP for Delta, The Honourable Jill McKnight. It was a great day. Thank you to OCdt A. Pang for setting this up. And thank you to the SSC for coming out to Support. The entire executive showed up through out the day, including our BCPC League Rep. We are so fortunate to have such a great support team.

Congratulations to the 828 Hurricane SSC and parent volunteers on a hugely successful year. The SSC executive thanked the parents by inviting everyone out to a parent social at Brown's Social House in Tsawwassen for appies and great company. Over 33 volunteers came out on their own time to help in different cadet events this year. Without our volunteers there would be no cadets! Excited to see what next year brings. ❤️

**Growing Smiles Spring Flower Fundraiser**
Parents and Cadets are welcome to pick up an order form attached to the announcement whiteboard outside the hall.
Or come and visit your SSC at SDRC between 6pm - 7pm Tuesday nights.

Delivery and Pick up of the spring flowers will be Saturday, May 11th, 2024, time to be determined, in the front parking lot of the South Delta Recreation Centre, Tsawwassen, BC

Paper Order Deadline is Tuesday April 23rd, 7pm
Online order Deadline is Next Friday April 26th, 11:59pm
