The Canada Revenue Agency is available to assist Citizens with matters relating to Benefits, Credits and Taxes today and tomorrow at the Chief John Jonas Centre.

The CRA is in Dawson at the Chief John Jonas Centre:
Wednesday, September 16 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (lunch from 12:00 - 12:30pm)
Thursday, September 17 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

The CRA can provide assistance with the following:
-Printing and accessing Income tax slips (to file a return)
-Printing Notice of Assessment (NOA’s)
-Update information (address, contact number , direct deposit etc.) Questions about benefits and credits (GST,CCB,DTC & many more)
-Help you understand a letter you received from the CRA

Please bring your Social Insurance Number and 1 piece of photo ID to your appointment.

📢Citizen Engagement Session: MoT Lands Redevelopment

Have your say on the future redevelopment of the MoT Lands, located adjacent to the Commissioner's Residence.

Housing and Infrastructure is seeking citizen feedback on conceptual design plans for the site. The Project Architect will present two concept plans and gather input from the community to help shape the final conceptual design.

📍 Site Walk at MoT Lands 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM • Join the Project Manager and staff for a guided site walk • Review proposed changes firsthand • Light snacks provided • Shuttle service available from CJJC for those who require transportation

There will be a celebration of life for our dear friend Charlie Taylor on Wednesday, September 2. Service will be at St. Paul's Anglican Church at 2:00 pm, followed by a potlatch at Äłät Nëhëjël (TH Hall). For those who cannot join in person, we will be providing a livestream of the event on the TH page.

The Dänoją̀̀ Zho Cultural Centre will close for the season on Friday, August 28, 2026.

The gift shop at Dänoją̀’ Zho Tsul (at the BYN Co. Building) will re-open in October.

International Overdose Awareness Day is on Monday, August 31. 💜
Join us as we gather to support the fighters, admire the survivors and honor those who have been taken too soon.

We encourage community to wear purple in honor of the day and to raise awareness.

The schedule of events at the Chief John Jonas Centre is as follows:

9:00- 11:00 am
Morning tea, coffee and bannock

11:00 am -1:00 pm
Free community BBQ

12:00 - 2:00 pm
Overdose and Naloxone Training with Des Rioux, Mental Health Nurse

5:00 pm - 12:00 am
The Community Outreach Vehicle will be in operation.

A heart garden will also be set up at the CJJC to honor those we've lost.
