π Better at Home Program Recreation Access π
The Dawson Creek Better at Home Program is pleased to offer a service designed to help seniors access recreational opportunities in our community. We provide digital punch cards for low-income seniors, giving them affordable access to a wide range of recreational facilities and programs led by the City of Dawson Creek, including the Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre, Kin Arena Sports Floor, Memorial Arena, drop-in sessions, and other eligible City recreation and sports programs.
Need access to the hot tub, sauna, or steam room at the pool? No problem. With the Better at Home digital punch card, seniors no longer need to choose between enjoying recreational activities and saving money. This program helps make wellness, activity, and social connection more accessible.
These punch cards are free for low-income seniors who qualify through Better at Home. To sign up, seniors will need to:
β’ Be a Better at Home or Community Connector client
β’ Live in Dawson Creek
β’ Provide their most recent Notice of Assessment
β’ Meet low-income requirements
β’ Be 65 years of age or older
β’ Give consent for the Better at Home team to connect with Dawson Creek Recreation staff
