E‑bikes in Riding Mountain National Park: Know Where to Ride 🚲

E‑bikes in Riding Mountain National Park: Know Where to Ride 🚲

Thinking about exploring the park by e‑bike? Here are a few simple tips to help you make the most of your ride.

Some e‑bikes can be used on trails if they meet the guidelines:

✅ Pedal‑assist e‑bikes (no throttle) are welcome on all trails where regular bikes can go
❌ Throttle-powered e‑bikes are best suited for roads

A simple way to check:
If your bike moves without pedalling → it’s not for trails

🚫 A few areas are foot‑traffic only:
• Ominnik Marsh Boardwalk
• Gorge Creek Trail
• Bald Hill spur & viewpoint

Ride safely and responsibly:
• Helmets are required for all e‑bike riders
• Riders must be 14+
• Please follow the rules of the road

Sharing the trail:
• Slow down and yield when needed
• Ride with care in busy areas
• Respect other users

Plan ahead:
Make sure your battery will get you back safely.

Thank You for Joining Us!

On June 8, residents from across the region gathered for our Prospective Candidate Information Session to learn more about municipal government and what it means to serve on council.

A sincere thank you to Cheryl Christian from GovFox for delivering an informative and engaging presentation that provided valuable insight into the realities, responsibilities, and rewards of local leadership.

We would also like to thank Dauphin's Countryfest Community Cinema for being such accommodating hosts and for providing an excellent venue for the event.

A special thank you as well to all of the participating and sponsoring municipalities whose support helped make this regional event possible.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended. We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about municipal leadership and the important role local elected officials play in shaping our communities.

We were encouraged to see so many residents interested in learning more about local government and exploring ways to become involved in the future of their communities.
