Nova Scotia Fire Fighters Burn Treatment Society The NSFFBTS is a non-profit organization. Funds are used to promote burn prevention education and to assist in the treatment of burn patients. At the I.W.K.

Hospital for Children, the Society has helped by providing advanced training for staff who work rehabilitating burn victims.

Our Burn Care Team is hosting the annual Burn Education Day on June12 at the Royal Bank Theatre, Halifax Infirmary in Halifax from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will be in-person and virtual, and is open to burn care providers from every care area or those interested in burn care.

Our keynote speaker this year is Robert Green, Senior Medical Director of Trauma. Other speakers include our burn physiotherapist, Brian Cho, and Daniel Kim, our burn occupational therapist - both experts in the field of burn care.

Elinor Kelly is our clinical leader for plastics and burns and will present on wound care for burns using Acticoat, and our Nova Scotia Fire Fighters Burn Treatment Society & Burns Survivor Support Group are hosting a burn survivor talk.

Registration for Burn Education Day is free. Please email [email protected] by May 15 and indicate whether you are attending in-person or virtually.

What a great day at the annual Bowlarama for Burn Care yesterday. A good time was had by all that attended and we raised just over $30,000. Huge thank you to everyone that attended and many thanks to our all our sponsors, especially to Bayers Road Bowlarama and all their fantastic staff. we are looking forward to seeing you all again next year
