✨ 25 Years of Dedication & Community Impact ✨

Today, we celebrate a remarkable milestone: Naomi’s 25th work anniversary! For two and a half decades, Naomi has been a cornerstone of our organization, driving impact with heart and dedication.

To honour this journey, we were privileged to host a beautiful community celebration. Our deepest gratitude to our special guests:

* The children from Clever Raven Aboriginal Head Start program for filling the room with joy and laughter.

* The Elders from the Wachiay Friendship Centre for honouring us with their presence, wisdom, and guidance.

If found, DO NOT RETURN TO WORK. He is officially, beautifully, and permanently RETIRED! 🎉🥳

Yesterday, we sent Roger off in the most meaningful way possible. He was honoured with a gorgeous, traditional cedar hat—a powerful symbol of leadership, respect, and protection for his next chapter. 🪵✨

Did you know? May is Child Care Month!

At Wachiay Friendship Centre, we raise our hands to the early childhood educators, child care providers, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, families, and community leaders who help create safe, caring, and culturally grounded spaces for our children and families.

This month, we celebrate the dedicated people who nurture our little ones, support our families, and carry forward the vital teachings of culture, language, identity, belonging, and community.
