Based in the rustic Kootenay mountains of Western Canada, Nathan Gurley and Sean Rodman of nationally renowned electro-folk duo Moontricks draw inspiration from the ongoing cycles of the natural world. Both volatile and constant—like nature’s best offerings—the band finds solace and beauty in the fusion of seemingly disparate elements.

There’s a kind of technicolor campfire quality to their uniquely hybrid sound: Each track is steeped in tradition and polished with a futuristic sheen, mixing organic folk, roots rock, and old-time blues with modern electronic production. Since its initial release, the band’s breakout hit “Home” has reached over 10 million streams, and their original tracks have been licensed for a wide range of television networks, including Netflix and Fox Sports.

Get • Hi friends! I’m offering Yoga & Meditation starting next Sunday. 🙂🙏

I’m really excited to share this after a couple of months off teaching. While I wear many hats these days, the path is my passion and my heart. I’ve recently been certified to teach meditation in the Shambhala lineage (think: Pema Chödrön), and have been teaching trauma-informed yoga for the past two years—and practicing both for over a decade—so I figured why not combine the two!? This is an opportunity to pause and exhale after the weekend and reset for the week ahead. If you have breath and a body, you belong here!

Class will move slow, and focus on gentle somatic movement with modifications to soften and calm the nervous system. I aim to make this accessible and supportive for those with injury (I myself deal with chronic shoulder injuries). The last half of class we will wind down with yin yoga and lightly guided meditation, with a few minutes at the end for discussion and sharing.
