Grateful for the opportunity to meet with yesterday to share what’s on our minds: building a better community in the Comox Valley through innovation, relationship-building and opening the door to new Canadians.

Federal immigration policies should meet the moment we’re in. But they’re not.

Instead, newcomers to Canada ​f​ace opaque eligibility requirements, unpredictable wait times,​ and changing goal posts. For us, it’s personal: some of our co-workers are facing an uncertain future, ​all while waiting patiently to set their companies up here and start training and hiring. Meanwhile, talented people and ideas continue to leave the US in droves.

is one of the most effective MPs in parliament, and we’re looking forward to sharing concrete ideas and suggestions with him this afternoon.​ This event is for co-workers only, but you’ll be able to find Gord at his booth at Moonlight & Magic in the evening if you’d like to share your thoughts​ as well.

We’re so grateful to the talented artists who brought this vision to life, and to for donating their wall and helping sponsor the project — alongside Pilon Tools, House of Colour, Co-valley, and Graystone Pizza.

Public art has a way of connecting people and place, and we’re proud to keep adding colour, creativity, and community spirit to our downtown. 💙
