Meals on Wheels Cornwall Meals on Wheels is a non-profit, volunteer based support service that delivers hot, nutritious meals to homebound citizens of Cornwall.

The Meals on Wheels Program operates in partnership with the Glen Stor Dun Lodge Outreach Department. Meals on Wheels is a volunteer-based community service which delivers nutritious meals to individuals to help them maintain their health and independence at home. This service is offered on both a short-term and long-term basis. Meals on Wheels offers both a hot meal program and a frozen meal prog

ram. Recipients have the option to choose either program or a combination of both programs to suit their individual needs. Hot Meal Program
The hot meal program offers an appetizing variety of meals consisting of a main dish, soup, salad, gravy and a dessert. Meals are delivered Monday to Friday between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm by our friendly volunteers. The cost of the service is $32.50 per week. Frozen Meal Program
The frozen meal program is an alternative or supplement to the traditional hot meal delivery. The frozen meal program is an ideal program for those wishing to have more flexibility in choosing their meals and do not want to commit to staying home on a daily basis. The frozen meals are prepared by a company called Apetito. Apetito offers a tempting array of main dishes, soups and desserts including meals suitable for vegetarians, diabetics, and reduced sodium diets. In addition, there is a special diet menu offering pureed, minced, renal, gluten-free, and lactose-free meals. Call us for a menu and price list. The meals are delivered by trained volunteers who provide a personal contact, a safety check as well as an interested daily visitor. Meals on Wheels is a proud member agency of the United Way of SDG.

We are so excited to be involved in this new pilot program with Ontario SPCA!

Meals on Wheels providers are now delivering pet food alongside meals, helping seniors care for their pets and remain supported at home.

It's a simple way to support both people and the animals that matter to them.

This week we're shining a bright spotlight on the incredible volunteers who make Meals on Wheels possible every single day. Their kindness, dedication, and compassion ensure that seniors in our community receive not only nutritious meals, but also a friendly smile and meaningful connection.

March for Meals - Community Champions Week

We were thrilled to welcome City of Cornwall CAO Tim Mills and Deputy CAO Matt Stephenson as our Community Champions! They joined our dedicated volunteers on the road to deliver Meals on Wheels and see firsthand the difference this program makes for older adults in our community.

Their participation helps shine a light on the importance of supporting seniors, reducing isolation, and ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious meals right here in Cornwall.

A huge thank you to them for taking the time to experience the heart of Meals on Wheels and for helping us raise awareness during March for Meals.

We were honoured to welcome MP Eric Duncan for a visit to our Meals on Wheels program as part of March for Meals! The 2026 March for Meals campaign, themed, “More Than a Meal”, runs from March 1-31, 2026, highlighting the crucial role Meals on Wheels programs in supporting seniors and adults with disabilities.

It was a great opportunity to showcase the impact of our dedicated volunteers and the importance of ensuring seniors and community members have access to nutritious meals and friendly connections.
