On Saturday, August 9th, the Saunders Hydro Dam Visitors Centre and the St. Lawrence River Institute had an amazing time teaching families about local fish ecology! Those in attendance got to learn about the natural habitat of the fish in the St Lawrence, as well as how to identify common types of fish. Thank you to everyone who came out on this hot day to learn about how we can all help preserve the climate around us!

Here at the Visitors Centre, we want to give a huge thank you to everyone who participated and Scientists in School for running the well received Discovery Zone event! Families had a blast building model trees, mobius loops and their own moving cars with just cardboard, a paper clip, a popsicle stick, a paper cup, an elastic band, and a bead!

Through engaging, hands-on experiments, everyone enjoyed themselves while learning about science, engineering, and innovation in a fun and memorable way.

Make sure to keep an eye on our Eventbrite page for more events like these! You won't want to miss them.
