We’re so excited to share that House of Hope has welcomed its first women and children. Our six bedroom second-stage home will provide women and children with safe accommodation for up to twelve months while they work toward permanent housing and greater independence. During their stay, residents will continue to receive individualized plans of support and access to outreach-based resources, including life-skills development, employment readiness programming, financial literacy education, parenting support, and therapeutic counselling.
Through the generous support of our community, and a transformational gift, this new home has transformed an idea into a tangible solution for women and children in our community and it comes at a critical time. This past year, we answered over 7,000 crisis calls and turned turn away 558 women and children.
House of Hope marks the beginning of a new chapter for us as an organization and for the women and children who will walk through its doors, it offers the opportunity to begin their next one.
