In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Collingwood Legion, Branch #63, the Town of Collingwood recently unveiled a new Veterans Crosswalk at the Collingwood Museum. This tribute recognizes the courage, sacrifice, and service of Veterans, past and present.

National Legion Week is September 20-26; it's a time to celebrate the important role local Legion branches play in supporting Veterans, promoting remembrance, serving communities, and welcoming new members and volunteers.

All are welcome to attend a dedication ceremony for the crosswalk:

In an effort to help improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians, three new pedestrian crossovers (PXOs) are being installed at these locations:
📍Cameron Street, between Birch & Maple Streets
📍The intersection of Campbell Street & Maple Street
📍The intersection of Birch & Tenth Streets.

🚧Construction is underway and anticipated to be complete by December 2026. Please watch for construction signage and lane closures as this important work progresses.
