Thanks to the folks from the Cochrane Historical & Archival Preservation Society here is a great read and photos from an article out of the Big Hill Springs book. There are a number of articles written about Bottrel from families from and around the area. Each having their own experiences and collective memory. Parsing together all their stories as well as oral history is an absolute thrill😊. Thank you once again CHAPS for posting this article❤️! Keeping history alive.

Ollie remembered the hardships of hauling groceries after snow falls, plowing through snow that was higher than a cattle truck and also getting home with a load of groceries after a rain. There was very little gravel on the roads and they were not built up.
