We are so excited to have Valentina Fenton back at the Library for "Understanding Treaties", an educational session that explores the history, formation, communication, and interpretation of treaties. Through timelines, historical accounts, and teachings shared by Elders, this session offers adults a deeper understanding of treaties from an Indigenous perspective.

Valentina Fenton is a member of Whitefish Lake Nation 459 and has been a Cochrane community member for twenty years. Valentina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Native Studies with a minor in English from the University of Alberta and brings a thoughtful, culturally grounded approach to her work.
