If outages occur, please keep an eye on our Alertable outage map and social media channels for updates. You can also call our after-hours line, where any major outage information will be included in the recorded messages.

Please call us or use the chat feature on our outage page if you see any of the following:

• Trees or large branches on power lines
• Sparking or flashing at transformers
• Downed power lines
• Damaged poles or other electrical equipment

This information helps our crews locate problems faster and respond where they're needed most.

If you see a fire involving electrical equipment, please call 9-1-1 immediately.

Stay safe, and if you come across a downed power line, always assume it is energized and keep well back.

Whether you’re packing lunches, setting up study spaces, or charging devices, remember to stay safe around electricity:

✅ Keep cords out of walkways to prevent trips and damage
✅ Avoid overloading outlets and power bars
✅ Stay at least 10 metres away from a downed powerline and call 911 if you see one
