Motivation Monday! Need a little inspiration today? These bright local students have you covered.

Last Wednesday, Pitch to the Chief™ – Youth Edition took place at Venture13 , where young innovators from St. Mary Catholic Secondary School and Port Hope High School shared creative solutions to real-world challenges.
Chief Chris Leather joined Port Hope Police Service Chief Tim Farquharson and Town of Cobourg, Ontario CAO Tracey Vaughan on the judging panel, hearing ideas ranging from improving accessibility and supporting local food security to increasing youth participation in sports and enhancing road reporting tools.

Over the past several weeks, students worked in groups and through in-class learning to develop, refine, and pitch their ideas, reaching out to partners and collaborators along the way. The result was a series of thoughtful, community-focused presentations, with six teams advancing to last week’s PTTC™ – Youth Finals last week.

We were especially inspired by the passion, confidence, and innovation each team brought to the table. Congratulations to all participants, including this year’s top teams, for turning ideas into meaningful solutions.

🌟A better future is already taking shape right here in our community.

Thank you to Nventure, our V13 Policetech Accelerator partner, and to the dedicated educators, police members, and students who made this event such a success. We can’t wait for the fall PTTC-Youth session to begin!
