We officially welcomed another business to Whitewater Region this week!
Laura, owner of Honest 2 Goodness Thrift (45 Main Street, Cobden), marked the store's six-month milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Since opening earlier this year, the shop has been providing affordable, quality second hand clothing and household items to the community.
A little about the store from Laura herself:
"Last July I decided to open Honest 2 Goodness Thrift due to the ridiculously high prices I was seeing at large for profit “thrift” stores. As a single mother of three, I relied on the second hand market to dress my children. (At H2GT, ALL children’s clothing is $2 ALL the time.)
Now, not all thrift stores are created equal.
I believe that I fall into the category of “thrift boutique” without the vintage or boutique price tags!
I carefully sort donations and only put the best selections out for sale. I also purchase new items with tags for the store such as swimsuits, bras and cotton cloth diapers etc.
My goal at H2GT is to provide affordable quality items priced the way they used to be before big thrift stores hiked their prices.
I support ConnectWell's “Good food box” program and the Boys & Girls club where I send money to help families in need.
I am very blessed to have found Cobden and the many supportive business and residents that have welcomed me from day one. "
Welcome to the Whitewater Region business community Laura!
Also note that the store does except donations during its regular business hours.
