**Prescribed Burn UPDATE** The Prescribed Burn, shown on this map in orange, is set to take place tomorrow (Thursday, April 9th) beginning at 10:00 AM.
Smoke will be visible from Clinton and surrounding areas, and to motorists travelling along Highway 97.
Crews will ignite ground fuels to remove combustible materials and mimic a naturally occurring wildland fire. Firefighters will closely monitor the fire activity at all times during the burn.
Personnel will remain on-site into the evening to ensure the perimeter of the fire is fully extinguished at the end of each day and will only leave once there is no risk of the fire spreading
Smoke from within the perimeter of the burn may be visible up to 72 hours after ignition.

Yesterday, our members had the opportunity to work alongside BC Wildfire Service on a demonstration prescribed burn.

Prescribed burns are a valuable tool used to reduce fuel loads, help protect communities, and support healthier ecosystems. It was a great experience for our crew to be involved, learn from wildfire professionals, and see these techniques in action.

We’re proud to continue building our skills and strengthening partnerships that help keep our community safe.

Opportunities like this are just one of the many ways our members gain valuable training and experience. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved in the fire service and giving back to your community, we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you to BC Wildfire Service, Clinton Community Forest, and Clinton & Area FireSmart for the opportunity and collaboration!

A new year often brings fresh goals and reflections. For some, that means finding ways to give back, learn new skills, stay active, or become more connected to the community they call home. Volunteering with the fire department is a meaningful way to do all of that, while making a real difference when it matters most.

We’re incredibly thankful for the support of our community throughout the year. Whether it’s a kind word, support at events, or trust when you call us in an emergency, it truly makes a difference and reminds us why we’re proud to serve.

As we step into the year ahead, we look forward to continuing to serve alongside a community that looks out for one another.

From all of us at Clinton Fire Department, we wish you a safe, healthy, and Happy New Year. 🚒

🎄 Merry Christmas from all of us at Clinton Fire Department! 🎄

As the holiday season is upon us, we want to thank our community for the continued support and trust you place in us. It’s an honour to serve and protect such a caring community, and we are incredibly proud to do so.

As you celebrate with family and friends, please remember to slow down, drive safely, and watch out for one another on the roads. We want everyone to make it home safely this holiday season.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a safe, happy New Year.

Late last night (Friday) Clinton Fire Department was called to a single vehicle MVI on Maiden Creek hill.

Road conditions were extremely poor and more than one fire fighter almost lost their footing when exiting the truck.

Thankfully, the lone occupant was able to exit the vehicle themselves.

🚒 Auto Extrication Training Night 🚒
Last night, Clinton Fire Department members spent our practice night sharpening our auto-extrication skills — the techniques we use to safely remove people from vehicles after a collision.

Training like this is a huge part of what we do. It keeps our team confident, prepared, and ready to respond when our community needs us most. By practicing in realistic scenarios, we make sure every tool, every motion, and every decision becomes second nature.

We wanted to share some moments from the night so you can see what goes on behind the scenes at practice. These skills are something we hope we never have to use — but when seconds count, being well-trained makes all the difference.

Thank you for supporting your local volunteers.

🔥 Even the elves know the importance of fire safety! 🔥
This pair from the North Pole jumped right into action—showing off how important it is to have a working fire extinguisher at home.

A quick reminder from all of us at Clinton Fire Department:
✔️ Keep at least one fire extinguisher in your home
✔️ Make sure everyone in the household knows where it is and how to use it
✔️ Check it regularly to ensure it’s charged and ready to use

A little preparation can make a big difference. Stay safe this holiday season! 🎄🚒

This past Saturday, Clinton Fire Department was proud to host the First Responders Food Drive with BC Ambulance Paramedics, Clinton RCMP, and Dawson Road Maintenance.

Turn out was great and a lot of food was donated to the Food Bank. We thank everyone for their generosity both from food and cash donations.

Welcome to the official page for Clinton Fire Department.

We’re excited to have a place to share more of what we do, both inside the hall and out in our community. As a small volunteer department, we’re proud to serve our neighbours — whether that’s responding to emergencies, training to keep our skills sharp, or supporting local events.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll see updates about:
• Our weekly training nights
• Safety tips and seasonal reminders
• Community events and activities
• A look behind the scenes at the people and equipment that keep our department ready

Our goal is to help everyone in our area feel connected to their fire department and to show what it means to serve our community with dedication and teamwork.

Thanks for following along — we’re glad you’re here!
Stay tuned for more updates, and feel free to say hello or share this page with your neighbours.
