Clinton Public Pool The Clinton Pool is an outdoor public pool run by the Municipality of Central Huron. The staff at the Clinton Pool are so excited for an awesome summer!

Two Pools located at this facility:
* 25 meter length pool with 3.68 meter deep end
* 15 meter training pool 3 foot depth There are lots of exciting things for everyone to do at the Clinton Pool like: Open Swims, Adult Swims/Lap Swim, Swimming Lessons, and Swim Team (GO Water Rats)!

Formal Report - Options for Closed Clinton Pool Space

Recommended Motion:

That Central Huron Council receives the report from Steve Duizer, Facilities Manager titled Options for closed Clinton pool space; AND

That Council direct staff to proceed with option(s):_______

Option #1- Pool replacement and pool house renovations at an estimated cost of $5,072,800

Option #2 - Excavate and fill in the pools, return the pool space to grass and renovate the building for seasonal storage at an estimated cost of $200,000 ;

Option #3 Excavate and fill in the pools, construct a fenced multi-purpose sports pad and renovate the building for seasonal storage at an estimated cost of $350,000.

Each year, Central Huron residents look forward to the opening of the Clinton Public Pool during the summer months. Over the past few seasons, staff and Huron Perth Public Health inspectors have identified areas in which the pool has begun to show signs of deterioration and failure due to the age of the equipment, the cement pad conditions and more.

As a result, the Clinton Public Pool will be closed for the 2022 season. At this time, it is uncertain if the pool will be able to reopen for the 2023 season, however staff are looking into various options for repairs or potentially a full replacement.

We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, and we hope that you have a good summer.

The Clinton Pool will be closing for the season on Wednesday September 1st at 8:00pm. Our staff are students who need time to prepare for the upcoming school year. We’d like to thank everyone for the great season!

We will be closed from 12-8pm tomorrow (Wednesday August 25) due to staffing. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Thursday!

The pool will be closed Friday August 20th from 12-8pm (lessons will still run as usual) and Saturday August 21st from 1-5pm. We apologize for any inconveniences. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday for our free swim!

Our last session of swimming lessons starts on August 16th! If you're interested in signing up, please do so by Tuesday August 10th. There are currently open spots in every group lesson.

You can register by messaging the page, calling us at 226-420-2073, or visiting us in person.
