Please engage with the details. Whether you are for or against it, this project WILL have property tax implications on Area A. Thank you for your time.
Reminder: An alternative approval process is ongoing, and we encourage residents to get informed. The TNRD is seeking to borrow funds for construction of a Regional Search and Rescue Hall and Training Facility and to fund operations of the facility. This site would serve as the headquarters for Kamloops Search and Rescue and be a regional training facility for Search and Rescue groups across the Thompson-Nicola region.
The estimated residential tax rate for capital and operating costs of this facility would be $1.07 per $100,000 of assessed value (e.g., $5.35 per $500,000 of assessed value).
This AAP is open until June 26, 2026. If you are in favour of the proposal, no action is needed. If you are not in favour, you must submit a response form by the deadline.
