You must be at least 16 years old to ride an e-scooter in B.C. Students are not permitted to bring e-scooters or e-bikes to our elementary or middle schools.

Students who are 16+ must wear a helmet and avoid carrying a passenger.

School is back in session next week! 30 kilometres per hour school zones in Chilliwack are in effect from 7:30 AM to 5 PM on school days. Drivers, remember to watch for students, obey posted speed limit signs, follow instructions from crossing guards, and use caution at crosswalks.

The Eastern Fraser Valley has been issued an orange (very high health risk) air quality warning due to elevated fine particulate matter (PM 2.5). Smoke levels can change quickly with weather and fire behaviour.

During this air quality warning be sure to:
▪️Check in on vulnerable neighbours and loved ones.
▪️When possible, use portable HEPA air cleaners or do-it-yourself box fan air cleaners.
▪️Keep windows and doors closed while running air filtration. If it’s hot, focus on staying cool.
▪️Seek medical help if you experience severe symptoms such as wheezing, chest pain, trouble breathing or severe cough. Call 911 in emergencies.

This free indoor event provides information to those who currently use a mobility scooter or are considering purchasing one to increase accessibility. You do not need a mobility scooter to attend.
