Chemainus Secondary School Chemainus Secondary is located in the picturesque town of Chemainus on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island. CHSS is home to students in Grades 7-12.

We are a public high school, grades 7-12, and part of Cowichan Valley School District 79. Founded in 1953, we serve students from Chemainus, and the surrounding areas of Crofton, Thetis Island, and Saltair. School Adminstration:
