Sullivan Community School is celebrating today! A huge congratulations to Jack Lang, who represented our school with pride at the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Edmonton. We were thrilled to hear that Jack won an Award of Excellence Silver Medal in the Junior category for his project, “Thinking Inside the Box: An Investigation into the Aerodynamic Efficiency of Box Wings.” Congratulations on this incredible accomplishment, Jack! We are so proud of you and thrilled to celebrate your success!

We are very excited to have our annual Track and Field Day taking place tomorrow! We know that many parents and relatives are planning to come and watch, and we are thrilled to have you join us for this special day.

To help the day run smoothly and to ensure the safety of all students, we kindly ask that visitors follow a few important guidelines. Please sign in at the office before proceeding to the field. If you decide to leave the school with your child at any point during the day, please let both your child’s teacher and the office know. Finally, to help us maintain regular routines and safely monitor students, we ask that parents and visitors leave the field during recess times.

Thank you for your support and cooperation. We appreciate your help in making Track and Field Day a fun, safe, and successful event for everyone!

Today, Grade 2 explored printmaking using potatoes, apples, peppers, celery and carrots to create colourful works of art. There was plenty of creativity, excitement, and messy fun in the classroom!

Sending out a special shout out to members of Parent council and volunteers who helped with another fun Hot Dog day on Friday. They are pictured here with a number of games that will be available at our ice cream social and art celebration on June 4th. Thanks to the Giddy Goblin in Hanover for helping us with a great selection of games for families.

Grade 2 deepened their understanding of the water cycle by making rain in a jar!

Ask your child to explain the stages of the water cycle. They should be able to use the words: evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.
