In 2011, nearly 2/3 young Canadians did not vote and a majority government was won by only 6,000 votes. We have an opportunity to cast our ballots in support of a party who represents our values and make our voices are heard in 2015! Take the pledge to get informed and make your vote count!

In the last federal election nearly two out of every three youth did not vote. If more youth vote in the 2015 election, they can be the game-changers no one saw coming! Hello young New Democrats!

A motion is being introduced by NDP Democratic Reform Critic Craig Scott in the House of Commons today to make the 2015 federal election the last election under our current first past the post system.
This would mean that all future elections will be operating under a Proportional Representation electoral system: if a party gets 30% of the vote, it gets 30% of the seats. THIS IS NOT HOW OUR CURRENT ELECTORAL SYSTEM WORKS.

The debate is happening today at 3:15EST, so please take this opportunity to WRITE YOUR MP. It doesn't matter which party you vote for, or your MP is, if they believe in democracy they will vote yes to this motion. Every vote should count.
