When visitors choose PEI, the benefits don't stop at our hotels, restaurants, and attractions.

The dollars they spend help support healthcare, education, roads, infrastructure, and public services in communities across the Island.

That's how tourism works for PEI.

Visitors bring new money into our economy, helping support the things Islanders rely on every day.

Congratulations to the Government of Prince Edward Island on its landmark investment in the Island's film industry through its partnership with Netflix.

This is more than an investment in a television series. It is an investment in jobs, local businesses, creative talent, and the future of PEI's economy. It is also a tremendous opportunity to showcase our Island to millions of potential visitors from around the world.

We have seen how powerful storytelling can be for PEI through Anne of Green Gables, and this new project has the potential to inspire a whole new generation of visitors to discover everything our province has to offer.

Well done to everyone involved in bringing this opportunity to Prince Edward Island.
