📢 Strychnine Distribution Update – RM of The Gap No. 39

The RM of The Gap No. 39 has committed to distributing Strychnine to our producers for Richardson’s ground squirrel control this season.

At this time, we do not yet have the product on hand. However, producers who are interested in purchasing Strychnine should begin by completing the mandatory Strychnine Stewardship Training.

Training is the first required step before any product can be sold or released.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟕 𝐆𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧

The Gopher Control Program provides cost‑shared rebates to help producers, RMs, and First Nations manage gopher populations using registered control products and non‑chemical options like raptor platforms and nest boxes.

✔️ Up to 50% rebate on eligible registered gopher control products
✔️ Up to $125 rebate per raptor platform (materials only)
✔️ Strychnine is not eligible
✔️ Valid invoices required (GST/PST not eligible)
✔️ Restricted‑use products require a copy of your applicator licence

🗓 Eligible purchase/installation window: January 1 – July 31, 2026
📍 Submit completed claim forms to the RM office by July 31, 2026

After RM certification, all claims are forwarded to SARM for processing.
