Community Living Haldimand is a not-for-profit, charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Established in 1957 by parents advocating for opportunities for their children, Community Living Halidmand has a proud history of providing community based supports and ensuring meaningful, inclusive possibilities for adults with developmental disabilities. Community Living Haldimand employs approximately 120 staff that in collaboration with families and the community support over 170 people with intellectual disabilities throughout Haldimand County.

It's time to celebrate Tim, one of our 2026 Dreamers! ✨

Tim's dream of a new chair was made possible thanks to the Jennie Deagle Dream Fund.

Here is what Tim had to say about his win:

"Hello, My name is Tim. I am a 2026 Jennie Deagle Dream winner! My dream was to have a new chair, worthy of my man-cave bachelor apartment. The chair I chose, reclines, has heat, massages, and also charges my phone. It is AWESOME! My dream chair helps me to relax, unwind, and chill after exercise. It is sooo comfortable. Thank you Jennie Deagle Dream Team. I am one happy man!"

🌟Let's shine the spotlight on Sherry!

Sherry joined the Board in 2019 after retiring from a 40 year career at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital. She has loved meeting the many people who are dedicated to CLH through working for and/or volunteering for, and who are served by CLH. Sherry enjoys volunteering at as many events as she can, allowing her to meet the people CLH supports, as well as employees, families and friends.

We are so happy to have you as part of our board Sherry! Thank you for your continued support and commitment to making CLH thrive!

The Warriors Advocate Group of Haldimand recently met with members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) for an informative presentation on bullying, including both in-person and cyberbullying. The presentation focused on how to recognize the signs of bullying, strategies for coping with and responding to bullying, and identifying appropriate individuals and resources to contact for support. The group also discussed the impact bullying can have on others and why bullying is
unacceptable.
