STRYCHNINE UPDATE: JUNE 4, 2026
Following a meeting with Alberta Agriculture and Agromax today, we were advised that the 2% liquid strychnine has not yet arrived in Canada. Agromax indicated they are expecting the product to clear customs and arrive in the country today; however, based on current timelines, they do not believe product will reach producers in time for the spring application window ending June 15.
At this time, no delivery date has been confirmed for municipalities.
The County will continue to accept orders from certified producers and will provide updates as information becomes available.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as the Province, manufacturer, and distributors continue working through supply and production challenges.
Fall Planning Input Request
To assist with planning and future allocations to landowners who already have their certificates, producers are asked to provide an estimate of the amount of product they may require for the July 15 – September 1 application window.
Complete the following to add your name to the submission of interest. However, product availability is not guaranteed.
