Members of the Carbonear Volunteer Fire Department participated in a training session at Trinity Bay, courtesy of an invitation from the Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade. Four personnel from our department attended the session, including Lieutenant Ian Green, Firefighter Colin Rossiter, Firefighter Noah Bishop, and Firefighter Devon Mullaly. We appreciate the invitation extended by the Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade and acknowledge the commitment of our attending members.

At 1418 hours, the Carbonear Volunteer Fire Department received a report of a multi-vehicle accident at the south entrance to the TC Square in Carbonear. Pumper 1, Crew Truck, and Equipment Van were dispatched to the scene. Aerial 1 was placed on standby. Appreciation is extended to NL Health Services and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for their assistance.

The Carbonear Volunteer Fire Department received a call at 1326 hrs regarding a single vehicle accident on Veteran's Memorial Drive. Pumper 1, Crew Truck, and Equipment Van were dispatched to the scene, while Aerial 1 was stood down.

Upon the trucks' return to the fire hall, the department received another call for a fire alarm activation at Hickman Motors. After investigation, the alarm was deemed a false activation. All units have since returned to the fire hall and are back in service. Thank you to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Newfoundland and Labrador and NL Health Services.

The Carbonear Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call at 2307 hours on Saddle Hill. Pumper 1 and the Crew Truck were dispatched. Aerial 1 and the Equipment Van were stood down. All units have returned to the fire hall and are back in service.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who supported the Carbonear Volunteer Fire Department's fundraising initiative in memory of Trinity Ellsworth, benefiting the playground. The event successfully raised $1965.00. We also appreciate the firefighters who contributed to this worthy cause.
