We are looking for volunteers to join us as "Seasoned Fixers" for our upcoming Repair Cafe. 🧰🧳

If you have skills in repairing small electrical appliances, power tools, jewelry, clothing, or general household items, we would love your help. Volunteer fixers work directly with community members to troubleshoot and repair carried-in items for free, keeping useful goods out of our local landfill and sharing practical skills.

Join us at the Community Centre (401 11th Avenue) for weekly Dementia Support Group drop-in sessions from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays. The sessions run from now until December 18, 2026, and offer a safe space to connect over coffee, conversation, board games and community support.

This program is open to people living with dementia and their caregivers. Drop in to this free program.

It's a semi-private class, and you will learn how to wedge the clay, center the clay on the wheel, and practice throwing. The instructor will demonstrate trimming and glazing the finished pieces. High-energy, game-driven fun using safe, padded swords to learn basic skills and duelling.

βš”οΈ Intro (Ages 12-55 Years): 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.
Beginner-friendly, low-intensity training exploring longswords, rapiers, and foundational techniques.

βš”οΈ Core (Ages 12-55 Years): 7:15 to to 9 p.m.
Higher-intensity training for experienced fencers with synthetic and steel gear, coached sparring, and community access.
