I really enjoyed this author’s previous book, The Lost Apothecary, so I was really looking forward to their second book.
This was a fun mystery novel set in the 1800s. What is happening at the London Seance Society, are they for real and how did two people close to it end up dead?
This was a really light read, and I would have liked a bit more depth and historical context, but overall it I enjoyed it

Title: They Both Die at the End

Genre: Contemporary YA

Well the title gives away the ending, but this was such a good book! What would you do if you knew this was your last day to live? What would you choose to do? Who would you visit and would knowing it’s your last change the outcome? I can’t wait to read the prequel!

Thank you to for this What a powerful account of one family’s fight to survive during WWII. Every time I read an account of the war, I’m am in awe of the resilience and strength of those who survived incredible atrocities. This book was no different. The author did an incredible job of matching historical facts, and family story into a compelling book.
I’m adding it to my free little library so stop by and check it out!

Title: What Have We Done
By Alex Finlay

Genre: Thriller

This triller starts off with 3 people who all survive an attempted 🔪. How they are connected and who is after them form the plot.
I liked this one, but the characters all seemed a bit far fetched in the setting that this book takes place in. It’s hard to describe but it doesn’t quite fit. Overall, it was still a fun read.

Title: Still, I Cannot Save You by Kelly S. Thompson

Whoa, this one is emotional. I don’t often tear up when I’m reading but this one has me. A loving memoir of a sister caring for her sister through her battle with addiction and then cancer. It was deeply moving, and I highly recommend ❤️

Immortality: A Love Story by Dana Schwartz

Genre: YA Romance, Magical Realism
Format: 📖

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

This was a fun second book in the duology. I enjoyed the historical element with a bit of magic thrown in. Given it’s YA it was a quick easy read as well. Make sure to read Anatomy: A Love Story first before checking this one out.
