Scotland has become the first country in the world to enshrine the right to free period products in law. 🇬🇧✨
Under the Period Products (Free Provision) Act, local authorities and education providers must ensure that anyone who needs period products — tampons, pads and more — can get them for free with dignity and choice.
This step tackles period poverty, supports health and education, and says loud and clear:

The Pad Bank YYC is a fledgling grass roots initiative begun in August 2025. It seeks to end period poverty and advocates for menstrual equity for all. 80 boxes have been received and distributed so far.
