Happy 1 year plus 1 day anniversary of the Historic House move!! Looks like we will finally be getting the power turned on next week, and the basement pad soon after.... then things can start to move along quicker :)

We finally secured the original doors from the house! The last owners had made the final condition that they would keep the doors. Yesterday we negotiated to keep them. This is very exciting as they were the original solid wood doors and the front door specifically is a very odd size.

We went for our fist look at the Historic House, We found out that the previous owners had restored it some time in the 1980's and the current owners had left it pretty much as it was. It had great evidence of original woodwork (all painted white and blue) Original key hole doors with 1 key that works! The beautiful stairs and railings, french doors, curved 9' high ceilings, antique registers, a beautiful country style wrap around porch and very large upper balcony. Basically the Country Historic House of our dreams!
