Co-Presented by Calgary Climate Hub, Calgary Interfaith Council, and The Wisdom Centre this event presents an intimate conversation and panel discussion on the importance of climate communication and bridging gaps between communities.

Join our collaborators from Solutionist Studios and the Calgary Foundation on June 10th!!

For the first time in Calgary, YINTAH is coming to the big screen. This award-winning documentary follows Wet’suwet’en leaders as they defend their ancestral lands from industrial development without consent, and invite deeper conversations about land, governance, and the future we share.

Hosted at the historic Plaza Theatre, the evening will feature remarks from Jennifer Wickham, co-director and producer of the film, followed by a panel with local Indigenous and climate leaders exploring how these stories connect to life here in Alberta.

Whether you’re curious about climate, passionate about community, or just looking for a meaningful night out, this is a chance to connect with people and ideas that matter. Local organizations will also be on-site before and after the screening to share ways you can learn more and get involved.

Join our friends from WTEP on May 29th for the free Ancestral Nations of Mohkinstsis event focusing on Land Dispossession & the Landback Movement. There will be two short film screenings:

Stories of Decolonization: Land Dispossession and Settlement
Canada: It’s Time for Land Back

This will be followed by Bryan Little Chief, a Siksika Elder and Spiritual Lead, sharing his reflections about Landback, the movement behind it, and how we can all support this. Share a dinner of soup and bannock with us while you learn, build community, and support Indigenous soverignty and rights.

Organized by We’re Together Ending Poverty as part of their Ancestral Nations of Mohkinstsis History and Culture Series.
