Today from 10am-1pm!

Fresh local produce is coming to Winston Heights! We’re proud to partner with The City of Calgary’s Farm Stand Program to help bring locally and regionally grown food directly into our community while supporting Alberta farmers.

Visit the farm stand each Thursday for fresh, seasonal produce from Broxburn Vegetables, known for high-quality greenhouse and field-grown fruits and vegetables using environmentally responsible growing practices.

FREE EVENT! 🌲🌳 The Tree Party: Plant Baby Plant 🌳🌲
Back for its second year and you are invited!
May 30 | 10:00 – 3:00 at Central Library (800-3rd Ave SE)

The Women Who Get Stuff Done in partnership with the Central Library and the Calgary Climate Hub are hosting an even bigger and better Tree Party on May 30. Learn how to plant trees, natural gardens and other nature based solutions, how to organize, get kids involved, plant mini-forests, and much, MUCH more! From workshops, presentations, and how-to sessions, to making seed-bombs, learn from experts and community groups who are getting stuff done. From tiny projects like your own balcony to big ones that benefit the community, this event will have it all.

🌳 Free • Family-friendly!
🌳 Learn to plant trees, gardens, and even mini-forests
🌳 Make wildflower seed bombs + explore nature-based solutions
🌳 Meet local and national change-makers
🌳 Leave with tools, ideas, and connections
🌳 From balconies to full neighbourhood projects—this is where greening your community starts.

Can’t come for the whole day? No problem. We’ll have activities throughout the day.

Featuring Erna Buffie (Out On A Limb: Saving the Urban Tree Canopy) + a special message from Robin Wall Kimmerer (Braiding Sweetgrass)
