The YWCA of Calgary believes in helping women, children and men - regardless of their role in domestic violence. We focus on promoting healing and supporting clients in making positive changes that facilitate recovery and wellness, with the priority on safety for all members of the family.

I regret to inform you that I was unsuccesul in reaching my sporsorship goal $3,000 euros to attend the Summit in London. This movement is really about more than attendance at the summit, however, and I am happy to inform you that your voices will still be represented. Although I was unsuccesful in raising the funds to attend in person, I have been given a password to vote on the proposed resolutions.

As such I would encourage all of you to take the time to post your opinions on the discussion board. I understand for some of you this is uncomfortable, but I can assure you that while debate is encouraged, overly aggressive personal attacks will not be tolerated. Focus on the issue not the individual.
